My experience, tips and honest opinions so far.

I underwent a vertical sleeve gastrectomy in France on the 11th of January this year, it's been a pretty tough journey so far.
I made the decision to have surgery as I was no longer happy with myself and could not see another way. I paid for the surgery so it was only six months worth of preparation.
I found out I had multiple health conditions that a woman of 25 should not have!
People say surgery was the best decision they ever made, I'm not quite sure I feel that way just yet...
My weight loss so far...
My starting weight was 20stone 13lb!!!!! I am however 5ft11 so this gave me a BMI of 40. To qualify for surgery you must have a BMI of 40 and above or 35 with a co-morbidity. I'm 9 weeks in and i've lost a staggering 4stone 3lb! I'm currently surviving on around 600-700 calories a day a lot of which is built up with protein shakes.
It has changed my life so much already, I definitely have a lot more energy. I now go to the gym, I'm able to get in from a busy 13 hour shift at work and be able to go out and I feel much more confident doing so, whereas before going out in public was becoming very scary!
I'm 9 weeks since surgery and have lost a massive 4stone and 3lb!!!! I haven't been in the 16 stone bracket since I was 16!
I'm expanding my diet day by day and trying to make better choices with the very little food I can manage. I'm thinking of making a post about what I eat in a day.
Let me know if you're interested :)
