GLOSSYBOX VS LOOKFANTASTIC

I've received both April editions of the boxes and have decided to do a comparison to see which one I prefer. I will add where applicable the retail price and if what I received is full size.

Glossybox's April edition includes a Carmex strawberry lip balm (full size £2.79), Affect cosmetics matt effect loose rice powder (full size, £9.35), Eyeko London fat liquid liner (full size, £16), Modellauncher safari bronzer (full size, £20) and Karl Lagerfield + ModelCo baked blush (full size, no price as of yet as not yet launched).

So this months Glossybox included 5 products ALL OF WHCIH WERE FULL SIZED !!!! Although I can't help but feel disappointed with this months box. The bronzer I already have as it was sent to me a few months back and feel the other products are a bit meh. I am excited about the blush though and feel a bit special as it has yet to launch.

I did message Glossybox on Instagram regarding the bronzer and they dealt with it straight away and offered me something different.

The Lookfantastic box is the first one I have received so I am unable to compare it to previous months. The box included a PUR full charged mascara, Glamglow Supermud clearing treatement, Emma Hardie morning cleansing balm, Nuxe moisturising cream, Dr Botanicals bergamont and poppy seed soap and finally Nip+Fab cleansing pads. Also included in the box was a cope of Elle magazine.

I was impressed to receive some higher end products from this box but from what I can tell only one of these is full sized. I am not overly pleased so far by this box. I have however had to sign up for three months and I'm excited to see how it varies over the three months.

Both boxes come in a sturdy box with string paper stuffing (I wasn't sure what that stuff is called lol) wrapped in tissue paper and are exactly the same size. If they were the same colour I'd actully struggle to tell them apart. The Glossybox is however made out of very hard card the Lookfantastic box on the other hand is quite flimsy.

PRICE COMPARISON

Glossybox retails at £13.25 per month and Lookfantastic at £15.00. Now if you add up the value of the Glossybox, we can do that as they give you the prices, you've received £50/60 worth of products for £13!!! Lookfantastic however do not disclose the prices of the products they simply direct you towards their website if you are interested in buying any of them.

I'm a huge fan of the Glossybox and have been subscribed for almost a year now. Glossy box always come through with their products and I'm very rarely disappointed. I have discovered so many amazing products through the box. Lookfantastic did however feel rather luxurious and had a couple of added extras, I did receive 6 products and a copy of ELLE. I'm not sure at this moment in time if I'm going to carry on my Lookfantastic subscription, as I said I have subscribed for the three month plan so let's see how it goes!
